Terms of use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AntiqID website at antiquesidentifier.app, the AntiqID mobile application, and related content (together, the “Service”).

By using the Service you confirm that you can form a binding contract and that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

AntiqID helps you identify antiques and collectibles from photos, review informational value ranges, ask follow-up questions, and organize a personal collection on your device.

Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service without liability, except where required by law.

Identification results, era estimates, maker attributions, confidence notes, and value ranges are informational only. They are not certified appraisals and must not be relied on for insurance, tax, legal, estate, customs, collateral, investment, or high-value purchase or sale decisions.

For those purposes, consult a qualified independent appraiser or other licensed professional in your jurisdiction.

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence (including Google Gemini or related providers) to analyze photos and text you submit. AI outputs can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or biased.

Always review results carefully. Provide clear photos and verify important details with primary sources or an expert before acting.

You agree not to: misuse the Service; attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows; upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; scrape the Service in a way that impairs others; or use AntiqID to deceive buyers, insurers, or regulators.

You are responsible for the photos and messages you submit and for complying with export, intellectual-property, and privacy laws that apply to you.

No AntiqID account is required for core features. Collection items, notes, and settings are stored locally on your device unless a future optional feature clearly states otherwise.

You are responsible for device security, backups, and any loss of local data from deletion, device failure, or uninstalling the app.

AntiqID, its branding, website content, and software are owned by AntiqID or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes under these Terms.

You keep rights in photos and text you submit. You grant AntiqID a limited license to process that content solely to provide the requested analysis and operate the Service.

The Service may link to the Apple App Store, cited websites, analytics providers, or AI processors. Third-party terms and privacy policies apply to those services. AntiqID is not responsible for third-party content or availability.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANTIQID DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not warrant that any identification or value estimate will match a future sale price or expert opinion.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANTIQID AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50, if you paid nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

You will defend and indemnify AntiqID against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and ceasing website use. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

We may update these Terms when features, providers, or law change. The effective date above will be revised. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you also acknowledge that policy.
